On Thursday, the Gurugram Police apprehended a 24-year-old individual in connection with an extortion attempt made to Big Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav. Elvish reported the case on Wednesday after receiving WhatsApp messages demanding approximately ₹40 lakh initially, followed by a demand for ₹1 crore. The police, while investigating the incident, disclosed the potential motive behind the extortion.

In her retort, Kangana expressed her concern over Swamy's response to a user who shared her bikini picture, attributing it to "deep-rooted sexism and a latent desire for the female body," and suggesting that Swamy's words made him seem like a pervert.
