Emraan Hashmi: Sometimes, I want to do a film without girls and romance

A few days ago, SpotboyE.com told you how Nawazuddin Siddiqui envies Emraan Hashmi for his ‘kiss-trionic’ ability (Nawazuddin Wants To Smooch Heroines Like Emraan Hashmi, Aug 30).

When we caught up with Emraan a couple of days ago, we told him about Nawaz's comments and he was delighted. Said Emraan “Well, I will definitely say that I have a great time, but it is also a tough task. Also, this whole label and image so to speak does get to you at times. Sometimes, I want to do a film without girls, without romance... a serious, topical film like Nawaz does. So, I think the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence. It’s always nice working with the ladies, but sometimes it’s also good to make a departure. I’d love to take Nawaz’s place and I would say, 'Please sometimes take my place in the films that I do'.”

While Nawaz is busy promoting Freaky Ali, which is an Indian comedy-sports film directed, produced and written by Sohail Khan and presented by Salman Khan, Emraan’s Raaz: Reboot is scheduled for a release on 16 September. It's the fourth film in the Raaz franchise and directed by Vikram Bhatt.
