Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Emergency’ sent tremors across the country with her impeccable performance as India’s first female Prime Minister - Indira Gandhi. The first look for the film was dropped shortly after the film went on floors. Now, on June 24, the actress dropped a brand new teaser along with the release of the much-anticipated movie. The film is all set to hit the theatres on November 24, 2023.
The leading lady, Kangana Ranaut, is back with yet another hard-hitting video unit announcing the release date for her next directorial. The striking announcement video also marks 48 years since the Prime Minister had a state of emergency declared across the country.

For those unaware, 'Emergency' is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical historical drama film directed and produced by Kangana Ranaut, from a screenplay by Ritesh Shah and a story by Ranaut.
Following her first glimpses as PM Indira Gandhi sparked fervour amongst fans and netizens alike. They rooted for her owing to her impacting body language, strong dialogue delivery, and knack to nail every character. That’s not all, the actress’ prosthetics and mannerisms which she has worked on to essay the role have also hit the bull’s eye.
Talking about Emergency, Kangana shared, "Emergency is one of the most significant and darkest chapters in our history that young India needs to know. The film traces Indira Gandhi’s political career as the former Prime Minister of India and how she braved odds in the line of events that took place in 1975, which changed India's history.
Former PM Indira Gandhi was the third Prime Minister of the country, and to date, has been the only female to become one. She was the daughter of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.
