Ekta Kapoor, the head honcho of Balaji Telefilms is a prominent personality in the film and television industry. She is even labelled as the queen of Indian television. Now, in a recent interview, the director-producer Ekta Kapoor confirmed that the film Ek Villain Returns is not made in any other languages nor it is inspired by any other films.

In a recent interaction with India Today, the producer of Ek Villain Returns - Ekta Kapoor, said, “Main apko iss picture ki ek asliyat batati hoon. Mohit ne mujhe do script sunaye the. I said ki Villain franchise has to be much bigger this time. Ye ek aisi script thi, Mohit ne work ki thi. Rohit Shetty had liked this script a lot. (Let me tell you the truth, Mohit read out two scripts and I said ki Villain franchise has to be much bigger this time. This is the script on which Mohit had worked which Rohit Shetty also liked).”

She further added, “Aur Mohit aise hi mujhe suna raha tha. I went to Rohit and I am his sister, so I requested him, and he, very sweetly, as good brothers do, gave me the script back and said that’s yours. Ye script aisi script hain ki koi bhi sunega, naa nahi kahega. Aur ye kabhi kisi language mein nahi bani hain. I don’t know what Korean Mr KRK is watching. But he seems to know more than I know I do I think. (Mohit was just telling me about the script, so I went to Rohit and asked for the script. I am his sister and as a good brother, he gave me the script back. This script is very good and isn’t made in any other language).”

For the unversed, last month the trailer of Ek Villain returns was launched and Kamaal R Khan, who also known as KRK took to his Twitter handle and shared his review. He said both the films Ek Villain (2014) and Ek Villain Returns are copied from Korean films.
