The festival of lights, Diwali is the time when they fill their lives with brightness while removing all the darkness. It is the time when people come together and celebrate happiness, leaving all the resentments behind. Though the celebration won't be as grand as one can expect this year, thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic, the spirit to celebrate it is still intact. Nevertheless, one of the bankable actors, Deepika Padukone certainly has some other plans this year. Well, the Padmaavat actor is planning to have a low-key celebration as the year 2020 has been a difficult one. She revealed that she will be staying at home, do a simple puja and will spend some quality time with her family.
Talking about her Diwali plans, Deepika told Hindustan Times, "Honestly, we are going to keep things quiet low key, keeping in mind the sensitivity towards the environment and the people around us. It’s been a difficult year for many in different ways. So, what we intend to do is, to stay at home, do a simple pooja and spend time with family. Normally, that’s what we, anyway, do." Last month, Deepika Padukone was summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau for her alleged connection to drugs after they found chats of her former manager Karishma Prakash’s name came to light.
On the other hand, just recently, Ekta Kapoor hosted a ‘low-key’ Diwali bash at her residence where many Telly and Bollywood stars marked their presence.
