Dimple Kapadia remains a prominent figure in Bollywood, continuing to feature in successful movies. Her debut at the age of 14 in the 1973 film "Bobby," alongside Rishi Kapoor, catapulted her to stardom. Following this breakthrough, she starred in numerous hits like "Saagar," "Ram Lakhan," "Rudaali," "Dil Chahta Hai," "Tenet," and the upcoming "Pathaan." However, there's a regrettable incident where she turned down a film alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Back in 1985, Dimple declined a movie opposite Amitabh Bachchan, the Manmohan Desai-directed "Mard." She later expressed regret for this decision. Speaking to Filmfare, she praised Amitabh's acting prowess, emphasizing his exceptional timing and style, labeling him as unparalleled in the industry. Explaining her rejection, Dimple mentioned prioritizing her commitment to the film "Pataal Bhairavi," featuring Jeetendra and Jaya Prada at that time. Speaking about it, the veteran actress said, “Yes, I think he’s simply terrific, and it was bloody stupid of me to refuse Manmohan Desai’s Mard opposite him. I am really crazy, you know. Here I turn down a Manmohan Desai film and on the other hand, I go an accept a stupid song and dance in Paatal Bhairavi for no earthly reason."


On the professional front, Dimple Kapadia made cameo appearances in Ayan Mukerji's "Brahmastra: Part One — Shiva" and Siddharth Anand's action-packed "Pathaan." She also starred in Luv Ranjan's "Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar" and the crime series "Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo" on Disney+ Hotstar. Her forthcoming project includes Saurabh Shukla's "Jab Khuli Kitaab," where she shares the screen with Pankaj Kapur.
