Dilip Kumar’s Younger Brother Aslam Khan Passes Away Due To Coronavirus
After being admitted to Lilavati Hospital on August 16, Dilip Kumar’s younger brother Aslam Khan passes away this morning. Bollywood’s Yesteryear’s actor Dilip Kumar’s two brothers Aslman and Ehsaan Khan were admitted to the hospital after they tested positive for Coronavirus. This morning, reports of their condition remaining critical made headlines. A TOI report suggested Ehsaan and Aslam were put under non-invasive ventilators but their condition remained critical. And now Aslam Khan breathed his last. He was 88. 

Now the latest ANI Tweet quoted Hospital and said ace actor’s younger actor Aslam Khan breathed his last this morning. The Tweet read, “Aslam Khan, younger brother of veteran actor Dilip Kumar passed away early morning today. He had diabetes, hypertension and ischaemic heart disease and had tested positive for #COVID19: Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai #Maharashtra” 

Earlier, confirming about Khan brothers’ hospitalization Dilip Kumar’s wife Saira Banu had told ETimes, “They are under treatment of Jalil Parker and Cardiologist Nitin Gokhale. Pray that they should recover well by the Grace of God...AAMEEN.” While the doctor treating the brother had revealed to the same portal, “They are critical because of their age and comorbidities. Their vital organs are beginning to become a cause of concern.”


Meanwhile, it was in March that 97-year-old actor Dilip Kumar had tweeted that he was in complete isolation owing to the Coronavirus pandemic and that his wife Saira Banu had ensured that he does not contract any infection. Taking to social media, Saira Banu had shared an update on Dilip Kumar’s health in March, and said, “Hello everyone, I'm so happy to tell all of you that Dilip saab is a lot better. He had a very severe backache and we had to go and check it out at Lilavati and we checked it out and came back."
