Legendary actor Dilip Kumar, who passed away on Wednesday morning, was laid to rest at the Juhu Kabrastan. His funeral proceeding was at 5 PM. The late actor’s wife Saira Banu, friends and family paid their final respects and bid farewell to Dilip Saab. Dilip Kumar passed away due to an age-related illness. He was 98. The veteran actor breathed his last at a Mumbai hospital.

A video shared on Instagram shows Dilip Kumar’s being laid to rest. The police officers in the video are seen holding the tricolour. The late actor’s near and dear ones are present at the Kabrastan in Santacruz. They say their final goodbyes to the actor as he leaves for his heavenly abode. The funeral took place with State honours.

Shah Rukh Khan, Dharmendra, honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra-Uddhav Thackeray, Ranbir Kapoor and several others arrived at Dilip Kumar’s residence to pay their final respects. Dilip Kumar made his debut in the Indian film industry in 1944 with the film Jwar Bhata. He rose to fame with the 1944 film Jugnu. The actor worked in iconic films like Mughal-e-Azam, Kranti, Ganga Jamuna, Devdas and several others. Over the years, he has received many accolades for his contribution to Indian cinema. Dilip Kumar had even been honoured with the Padma Bhushan in 1991, Nishan-e-Imtiaz in 1998 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015 among many.
