Veteran actor Dilip Kumar is no more. The legendary actor passed away on Wednesday. He was 98. He was admitted to Hinduja Hospital on Sunday after complaining of breathlessness. His passing away is a great loss to the Indian film industry. The actor whose career spanned over six decades will be remembered for years. Fans and celebrities are paying tribute to the late actor by sharing his stills, iconic stories and personal moments.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid an emotional tribute to him and said 'his passing away is a loss to our cultural world'. He tweeted, 'Dilip Kumar Ji will be remembered as a cinematic legend. He was blessed with unparalleled brilliance, due to which audiences across generations were enthralled. His passing away is a loss to our cultural world. Condolences to his family, friends and innumerable admirers. RIP.'

Shashi Tharoor tweeted, 'Immortals never die. As Tagore wrote, 'Death is not extinguishing the light; it is only putting out the lamp because the dawn has come. #DilipKumar's work shines on.'

Fans are deeply saddened by his death. Faisal Farooqui shared the news of his death on the actor's official Twitter account. He tweeted, 'With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him we return. - Faisal Farooqui.' Speaking to Indian Express, Dr Jalil Parkar said that he passed away at 7.30 am. 'He passed away due to prolonged illness. He was 98,' added Parkar.
