Farah Khan recently opened up about shooting the song 'Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye' from the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai with Salman Khan’s body double as he was unavailable for it
Filmmaker Farah Khan has made a name for herself in the Bollywood industry. She is till date regarded as one of the most carefree directors and choreographers in India. She recently graced the sets of India’s Best Dancer as a judge, when she recalled choreographing for the song 'Sajan Ji Ghar Aaye' from the film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji, Kajol, Salman Khan and Sana Saeed in pivotal roles, the 1998 film was directed by Karan Johar.
While recalling shooting for the song, she revealed how half of the song was shot with Salman’s body double Ritchie Burton. Heaping praises on him, who also came on the dance reality show, she shared how the actor only came on the set for 2-3 hours, so his body double had to cover for his absence during the wide angle shots. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, she said, “Ritchie bahut cute tha yar. Main bata du Sajan ji Ghar Aaye mein, Salman Khan ka aadha gana Salman ka dupe banke Ritji ne kia. Really, kyunki Salman aata hi tha 2-3 ghante ke liye. Fans took to the comment section of the post to shower love and adoration on Richie. One wrote, “Love you richi sir.” Another wrote, “Richi sir is gentleman.” Many flooded the comments with fire and red heart emojis.
On the work front, Farah Khan’s last project was Happy New Year starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. On the personal front, she married Shirish Kunder in 2004 and they welcomed their triplets through vitro fertilisation in 2008.
