Veteran Bollywood actress Rekha is till date one of the most-sought after celebrities in the Hindi film industry. Having aged like fine wine, over the years, she has broken many stereotypes and paved the way for actresses in the male dominated industry. While she still leaves the audiences mesmerised with her beauty and confidence, she often rules the headlines for talking about her admiration and love towards Amitabh Bachchan in her old interviews.
The 68-year-old has never hidden the admiration she feels towards the veteran actor, despite him being happily married to Jaya Bachchan. Now, an old video of her confessing to having fallen in love with a married man on national television is doing rounds on social media. The host, Jay Bhanushali during one of the episodes goes on to ask them if they have ever seen a woman very madly in love with a married man. Known for her witty comments, the veteran actress leans into her mic and says, “Mujhse puchiye na.” The shocked host quickly exclaims, “Huh?” to which Rekha says, “Maine kuch nahi kaha.” This leaves everyone shocked and they end up laughing. For the unversed, the love triangle between Amitabh, Rekha and Jaya was widely reported back in the day. The trio were seen together in the movie Silsila (1981). Touted as an inspiration from Big B’s real life, the movie was a blockbuster hit at the box-office. After the release of the film, Amitabh and Rekha never shared the screen.
On the work front, Rekha was last seen on the big screen in 2018 with Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se. She had made a cameo in the song Rafta Rafta Medley. She was also seen on television introducing the characters of Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, post the generation leap. While fans are eager to watch her in more films, she has been leaving everyone mesmerised by her appearances at events.
