DID YOU KNOW Neetu Kapoor, Rishi Kapoor Both Fainted In Their Wedding Because They Were Drunk While Pheras?

Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor were the iconic couple of Bollywood. Fans used to look up to their successful wedding. They tied the knot on January 22, 1980, at RK House in Chembur. It was a star-studded wedding as two famous actors were getting hitched. Most of the filmy families were invited to the wedding. Recalling her wedding days, the Amar Akbar Anthony actor said she and Rishi Kapoor were so panicked to see the huge number of guests that they started drinking Brandy.

Recently during the promotions of Jugjugg Jeeyo, Neetu Kapoor recalled her big day in an interview with Swiggy's YouTube channel along with Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, and Kiara Advani and said, “Oh my god. There were pickpocketers at my wedding. They gave me gifts which had rocks and slippers inside. Because they were all dressed up and they entered my wedding, we thought they were guests. They crashed because it was such a huge wedding. We found rocks and slippers when we opened the gifts. It was so weird.” She added that they got so nervous seeing the attendees over 5000 people at the wedding that they started drinking brandy. The Yaarana actor was quoted saying, “When we were getting married, I fainted, and my husband also fainted. We both fainted. I fainted because there were too many people, and my husband was petrified of crowds, so before getting on to the horse he fainted. So he was having brandy. I was having brandy. So that's how our wedding was, I was drunk when I was taking the pheras.” Anil Kapoor too added saying that he had attended Neetu and Rishi’s wedding.

When Varun asked the co-actor Neetu that did she attend Anil Kapoor’s wedding, The Tezaab actor jokingly said, “Meri shaadi mein main khud nahi tha. Itne kam log the ki mujhe khud ko doondhna pada (I wasn't there at my own wedding. There were so few people that I had to find myself only).”

The film Jugjugg Jeeyo was released on Friday, June 24, 22 with a good opening. The family drama produced by Karan Johar is garnering a good response from audiences and critics alike.
