Just to give you a background check, Shahid Kapoor and Fardeen Khan collaborated for the 2004 film, Fida and even though the film was a commercial flop, the chemistry between Fardeen and the lead actress, Kareena Kapoor was an instant hit amongst the fans. Well, things escalated leading to a massive fight between Shahid and Fardeen on set. Reportedly, the two stars came to blows, and things got back to normal only after a lot of persuasion.
Back in the day, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were one of the most controversial couples. They fell in love while shooting for Fida and after dating for four years, they officially parted ways. Kareena's steamy scenes with Fardeen Khan were known to be one of the major reasons behind their massive fight that became news back then.
Shahid Kapoor clearly had issues with Kareena’s titillating scenes with Fardeen Khan and it made things tense between the two male actors. Shahid was quite uncomfortable and insecure about the same.
Years later, Fardeen Khan opened up about the rift, calling Shahid quite immature. He said, “Yes, it’s true we aren’t the best of friends. Shahid and I don’t get along. But it wasn’t a big fight. I had heard that he was b*tching about me. He is quite immature. He had a few issues and I had told him to stop talking about me. I and Kareena are strictly friends. By virtue of our spending time together, the degree of trust and comfort is higher. But there is nothing more to it.”
Following Shahid’s appearance on the Koffee With Karan, he also spoke about the alleged rift between him and Fardeen Khan and revealed that he didn't have any issues with him. However, Shahid mentioned that instead of talking things out in person, Fardeen chose to say things in print, which was not good. Shahid said: “I personally don’t have any issues with him. And if he had any issues, he could simply called up and had spoken about it, but he chose to talk about it in the print so what else I do say.”
Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were one of the most talked about couples in the town and it was Bebo who took the first step and confessed her love for him. The two were inseparable. Little did they know that their passionate love affair would turn into an obsession, which would eventually end their relationship.
