DID YOU KNOW? Ayushmann Khurrana Reduces His Rs 25 Crores Fees During Pandemic To Benefit Film And Producer- Read To Know More
Covid 19 pandemic was the darkest chapter for the entertainment industry. Many films had shut down or postponed its shoot. The theatrical release of many films was put on hold. But all the actors came together and fought this darkest hour and did their bit to help everyone. One such actor is Ayushmann Khurrana. You would not believe he cut down his fees during the pandemic.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s many films were released and shot during a pandemic. He used to charge Rs 25 crores as an upfront fee for a film, he structured his cost for the benefit of the film and to help the producers.  A source informed India.com, “Ayushmann is maintaining his price point of 25 crore as signing fee but he has structured it differently during the pandemic to benefit producers. For films that he has signed during or right after the pandemic, Ayushmann has charged about 15 crore as signing fee and the remaining 10 crore plus profit share is staggered basis the outcome of the film. This way, he ends up making more if the film is a blockbuster and his producers are also benefited as the entire cost of Ayushmann doesn’t come to them while mounting a project!”

The source further added that this was the smartest move of Khurrana, due to the pandemic both producers and actors have to work hand in hand to make the film hit., “This is the smartest thing that Ayushmann could have done because post-pandemic, the landscape of cinema has become completely different. Actors and producers have to work hand in hand for the industry to recover. Such moves help the bigger picture as films need to be made in a cost-effective way across the board and when the film is a hit, the star can end up making more! It is a win-win for everyone.”

Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff have also reduced their fees for Bade Miyan Chhote Miya. Even Kartik Aaryan had shrunk his remuneration for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 for which Bhushan Kumar lauded him post the success of the film.

On the work front, the 38-year-old actor will be seen next in  Doctor G with Rakul Preet Singh and Shefali Shah in pivotal roles.
