As many are aware, Deepika Padukone's father Prakash Padukone was admitted to a hospital after he tested positive for the novel coronavirus. And now, as per latest reports, he has been discharged from the Bengaluru hospital where he was admitted for over a week. He is now on the road to good recovery. For the uninitiated, he was hospitalised on May 1 as a precautionary measure as his fever was not subsiding.
He was discharged on Saturday and is now doing well at home. Padukone's friend and the director of his academy U Vimal Kumar told a leading daily, 'He was out on Saturday. He is at home and doing well. His family is all well too." For the unversed, Deepika Paudkone, including her mother and sister also tested positive for Coronavirus. Earlier, a close friend of the legendary shuttler told PT, "Around ten days back, Prakash, his wife and second daughter developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive. He is okay now. All his parameters are fine, his wife and daughter are at home."
The actress is yet to share any statement on her social media. Last month, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh flew to Bengaluru to spend some quality time with the Chhapaak actress' family.
On the work front, Deepika Padukone has interesting projects in the pipeline. She will be seen opposite Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in Shakun Batra's untitled film. She has also signed a film opposite Shah Rukh Khan titled Pathan. Deepika will be seen opposite Ranveer Singh in '83. Other than that, she will also star in the remake of The Intern. A few weeks ago, Amitabh Bachchan replaced late Rishi Kapoor in the same.
