South superstars, real life love birds and more; Here’s a list of some fresh Bollywood pairings we will see in the next few years
Over the years, Bollywood has given some iconic romantic pairs to the audience including Dilip Kumar-Madhubala, Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol, Ranveer Singh-Deepika Padukone and more. These are some tried and tested pairings that have a success report on the box office, but the industry has also not shied away from trying some fresh pairings for the audience to see. Here’s a list of some of those fresh pairings, including South superstars, real life love birds and more, that we will get to see over the next few years.
Prabhas-Kriti Sanon
Kriti is riding high on success at the moment. With as many as seven films in her kitty, Kriti is one of the busiest actresses right now. Among those, one of the most anticipated and biggest projects is Adipurush where Kriti plays Sita to Prabhas’ Adipurush, a pairing for the first time.
Deepika Padukone-Prabhas
These two names are superstars of their own industries, and now they are collaborating for the first time for a pan-India film by Nag Ashwin. The film is said to be a sci-fi project.
Hrithik Roshan-Deepika Padukone
Hrithik and Deepika are two of the hottest actors in the industry and it seems surprising that it took so long for the two to come together. Deepika’s fascination with Hrithik came to light when she compared him to ‘Death By Chocolate’, at a party. The chemistry between the two was sizzling in the pictures and now in Siddharth Anand’s Fighter, it will come on screen as well.
Vijay Sethupathi-Katrina Kaif
Vijay is a Telugu superstar while Katrina is a Bollywood treasure and the two are collaborating for the first time in Sriram Raghavan’s next, Merry Christmas which is reportedly based on a short story.
Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani
These two alleged real-life love birds will share the screen space for the first time in Shershaah, a biopic on the Param Vir Chakra awardee and army captain Vikram Batra, that will see Siddharth playing a double role for the first time.
Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt
Just like Sid and Kiara, these two love birds are also going to share screen space for the first time in their next, Brahmastra. This Ayan Mukerji’s directorial has been in the making for quite a few years now and will see Ranbir as Shiva, a man who can emit fire from the palm of his hands.
Shraddha Kapoor-Ranbir Kapoor
These two have been at the top of their games for a while now, but it took Luv Ranjan to bring the two together. The duo will be seen together in Luv’s next directorial and they began the shoot for it in January this year.
Ranveer Singh-Jacqueline Fernandez
These two powerhouses of energy are set to create a riot on screen in Rohit Shetty’s next, Cirkus, alongside Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma. The film is reportedly based on Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors and will see Ranveer and Varun in double roles.
