On October 20, 2020, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge completed 25 years of its release; social media platforms saw many fans of this movie as well as people associating celebrating this moment. And seems like the celebration is still on, as per the latest tweet of film critics Taran Adarsh DDLJ will be re-released in 18 countries. Now that’s a supremely big announcement and yet another feather in the cap of the makers of this most loved film as well as the lead pair Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol. 

The film will be re-released in the USA, Canada, UK, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Mauritius, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Germany, Norway, Sweden, Spain, Switzerland, Estonia and Finland. However, so far the release date is yet to be finalized.

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol


DDLJ, which is still everyone's favourite, won several awards when it was released. When the film had completed 20 years an event was hosted at Maratha Mandir theatres in Mumbai graced by the movie lead pair SRK and Kajol. Shah Rukh Khan who has continued to remain away from the silver screen since 2018, is currently cheering his IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders at the ongoing cricket tournament in UAE.
