Dasvi Trailer OUT: Abhishek Bachchan As Desi Corrupt Politician Wins Hearts, Yami Gautam Looks Fierce And Nimrat As Bimla Devi Is A Surprise For Fans
Get ready to witness the story of an illiterate, corrupt, and desi politician Ganga Ram Chaudhary aka Abhishek Bachchan who uses education as a weapon in jail. The trailer of Abhishek’s much-awaited film ‘Dasvi’ is out and he aces the character of a raw and rustic Jatt with so much conviction that it is worth praise. The film also stars Yami Gautam and Nimrat Kaur in the lead roles.

The trailer opens with Junior Bachchan playing a typical desi corrupt politician who is behind the bars for a scam. During his stay in the jail, his wife Bimla Devi becomes a CM and enjoys her new position and power. The 8th pass Ganga Ram in jail takes the challenge from a rough and tough IPS officer played by Yami Gautam to clear his ‘dasvi’ which is his only dream.

Yami looks fierce and bold in a role of a police officer Jyoti Deswal, who gives hard time to Ganga Ram during his stay in the jail. Nimrat Kaur’s character is a total surprise for the fans of what she has delivered in her past movies. From the trailer, it gives an idea the story revolves around ‘Kursi’ and ‘Kitab’ where on one hand Bimla Devi wants to taste the power of CM’s chair, and on the other hand, it focuses on the importance of education and the struggle a corrupt politician face while learning and reading books and understanding everything to clear the10th exam.

All and all the film is a roller coaster ride that starts from a corrupt and illiterate Jatt to a 10th Pass politician with a taste of comic and social message.

The film is helmed by debutant Tushar Jalota and bankrolled by Dinesh Vijan who has earlier produced ‘Hindi Medium’. ‘Dasvi’ will stream on Jio Cinema and Netflix from April 7, 2022.
