Actress Suhani Bhatnagar has left for her heavenly abode. At the age of 19, she breathed her last on Saturday, February 17, morning. According to a report by Zee News, she passed away while she was undergoing treatment at AIIMS. Having made a name for herself in the entertainment industry with her portrayal of a younger Babita Phogat in Aamir Khan’s multi-starrer Dangal, she had taken a break from acting to focus on her studies. She stayed in Sector 17 Faridabad, Haryana with her family.

While media reports state that the cause of her death is yet to be revealed, Zee News has quoted a report by Dainik Bhaskar stating that she had been undergoing treatment at the AIIMS after fracturing her leg a few days ago. However, due to a reaction to the medication she was consuming she suffered due to water retention. This led to her untimely demise at the age of 19. 


Bhatnagar’s parents have been left devastated due to their daughter’s death. They have yet to release an official statement about Suhani’s passing. As per a report by NDTV, she will be cremated at the Ajronda crematorium in Sector 15, Faridabad. Her last post on Instagram is currently going viral. Posted in November 2021, she shared a few sun-kissed selfies with the caption “November??” Fans have been taking to the comment section of her social media posts to express their shock and convey their condolences to her grieving family. 


Talking about Dangal, the Nitesh Tiwari directorial also starred Aamir Khan, Sakshi Tanwar, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra, Zaira Wasim, Aparshakti Khurana, and Ritvik Sahore in pivotal roles. Released in 2016, the biographical sports drama was based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat and his fight against society to make his daughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari India's first world-class female wrestlers.
