Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone are all set to welcome their little munchkin after more than a decade of being together. Always the hypeman for his wife, Ranveer recently went to watch the Nag Ashwin directorial Kalki 2898 AD and couldn’t stop gushing about his wife’s performance in the film. Starring Padukone, Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in the lead roles, the film became one of the biggest blockbusters of 2024 as it opened up with positive reviews from the critics as well as the audience. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor took to his official social media handle to heap praises on the entire team for their work.
Taking to his Instagram stories, the 38-year-old actor shared Kalki 2898 AD’s poster and revealed that the film was a “grand cinematic spectacle.” He added, “An unprecedented level of finesse in technical execution. The very best in Indian cinema.” Congratulating Ashwin and his team, he lauded Prabhas as well as Kamal Haasan. Speaking about Sr Bachchan and his wife’s performance in the film he wrote, “And if you are a die-hard Amitabh Bachchan fan like me... you just can't miss this! @amitabhbachchan. For those who don’t know, Kalki 2898 AD is set in a dystopian era, where a 200-year-old demon named Supreme Yaskin (Kamal Haasan) rules the world with his ‘complex’ setup in Kashi. The film follows the journey of Ashwatthama's (Amitabh Bachchan) plight to protect Maa (Deepika Padukone), who is about to give birth to God, who will save the world from further doom. Prabhas plays the role of a carefree bounty hunter who dreams of entering the complex and leading his best life. The movie blends Mahabharata and the future.
On the work front, apart from Kalki 2898 AD, Deepika Padukone will also be entering Rohit Shetty’s cop universe as Shakti Shetty. She will mark her entry in the cop universe with Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tiger Shroff, and Arjun Kapoor starrer Singham Again. On the other hand, Ranveer also has Don 3 and Shaktimaan remake in his pipeline.
