CUPID STRIKES: Prateik Babbar Finds Love In 27-Year-Old Writer-Director
Prateik Babbar is personally in a happy space. As per reports, the actor has been dating 27-year-old writer-director- editor Sanya Sagar for six months now
Prateik Babbar is
on a cloud nine. The actor, who was grappling with drugs and depression, has
been sober for a year now and has turned over a new leaf. He is all set to
comeback on the silver screen with Ahmed Khan’s Baaghi 2 and Anubhav Sinha’s
Mulk. Prateik is in a happy space personally as well.
As per a leading
tabloid, the actor is in a relationship with a 27-year- old
writer-director-editor Sanya Sagar. The two have known each other for 8 years
but started dating since the last six months. “Sanya is from Lucknow and her
dad is a politician,” said the source to the tabloid.

Interestingly,
Prateik’s dad, Raj Babbar who had served out two terms in the Rajya Sabha and
was elected three times to the Lok Sabha, is currently the president of the
Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee. However, Prateik and Sanya have bonded over
due to the love of cinema and not politics.
Sanya is a
graduate from National Institute of Fashion Technology in fashion communication
and also has pursued one-year diploma in practical filmmaking from the London
Film Academy. She has also worked as a production assistant on the Danny
Huston-starrer, The Last Photograph, and as a production runner on the Salma
Hayek short, 11th Hour.

The source further
informed that the duo has met each other’s parents informally but for now they
are focusing on their respective careers. Sanya and Prateik have been spotted
dining at their favourites restaurants in the city several times.
