Crew Member Dies On-The-Sets Of Rajinikanth's Kaala, Police Begins Investigation
In a shocking incident, a young crew member, Michael, stepped on a live wire on the sets of Rajinikanth’s Kaala and was electrocuted to death. Police is investigating the matter
Rajinikanth recently wrapped up the shoot for his next film Kaala in Mumbai, and now has moved on to Chennai for the next leg of the shoot. However, the shoot didn't begin on a very high note, as a crew member was electrocuted on sets of the film.
Reports suggest that the worker, Michael, stepped on a live wire and died instantly. The crew was working on creating a huge set worth Rs 5 Crore at Chennai's EVP Studios in Poonamalle. Even though the co-workers immediately rushed Michael to the hospital, he didn't survive.
Police officials have taken over the investigation of the case, and are not sparing anyone related to the film from questioning.

Directed by Pa Ranjith, Kaala also stars Bollywood actors like Nana Patekar and Huma Qureshi in the lead roles. This is Rajinikanth's second association with Pa Ranjith after Kabali (2016), which went on to become the highest grossing Tamil film ever.
Rajinikanth has almost finished the VFX on Robot 2.0, which also stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson. It is said that the film's trailer might release on Rajinikanth's birthday on December 12, as the film is slated to hit theatres on the Republic Day weekend next year.
