Currently, Coronavirus is taking everyone under its umbrella and hence, the number of people getting infected is also growing minute by minute. With the outbreak of the deadly disease, people are self-isolating themselves as prevention is better than cure while the government is doing their best to keep the citizen safe. Bollywood celebs like Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, to name a few, have locked themselves inside their houses and the latest one to self-quarantine is Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja.
Amidst the Coronavirus outbreak, Sonam Kapoor flew from London to India a while back. As she had to go through medical checkup, she lauds the government for actively working to combat the spread in the country. The actress shared subsequent clips on her Instagram stories while thanking and praising them for what they are doing for the citizens. In one of the videos, she is heard saying, “Anand and I are back in Delhi and we just want to thank everybody at the airport. When we were leaving London, there was no screening; nothing. Anand and I were massively shocked upon discovering that. However, when we reached India, we were asked to fill a form in which we had to tell the authorities how much we flew in the last 25 days. We gave our travel history. Fortunately, Anand and I had not flown to any of the so-called hotspots where the virus is very rampant. Then our temperatures were taken and we were all fine.”
In one of her subsequent clips, she said, "I just want to say that it's incredible the way the authorities are handling the situation. It's very commendable and laudable. We went to immigration and they again re-checked where we'd been on our passports, which was extremely responsible. Anand and I had our gloves and masks on along with many others. I just want everybody to know that everybody is doing the best that they can do. The government is doing the best that it can do. And, we all are in this together," Sonam said while also letting us know how happy she was to be back home and letting us know that the couple is currently self-isolating as they stay with their parents.”
"Both Anand and I have no symptoms of the virus. But we are still self-quarantining because we live with our parents and our grandmother. So, I request everybody else, as young people, we need to be more careful and prevention is better than cure, especially for your loved ones, your grandparents and parents,” she continued. Singing off by saying that we have to the best we can in every possible way.
