Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan (born March 3, 1931)- the Indian classical musician and recipient of the Padma Shri in 1991, followed by Padma Bhusan in 2006 and Padma Vibhushan in 2018- is unwell and admitted in Kokilaben Hospital.
Ghulam saab (88) was earlier admitted to Holy Family Hosptal (Bandra). "We went home but wanted to take more treatment," says his sister Shadma.
A guru to Asha Bhosle, Manna Dey, Kamal Barot, Geeta Dutt, A R Rahman, Hariharan, Shaan, Sonu Nigam, Sanah Moidutty, Sagarika, Alisha Chinoy, Shilpa Rao and many others, the list of Ghulam saab's achievements and awards is very long.
The maestro suffered a stroke few days back, "But he is better now and recognising people as well. Pray for him," Shadma adds.
Ghulam saab is married to Amina Begum, grand daughter of Padma Bhushan Mushtaq Hussain Khan. They have 8 children, 4 sons and 4 daughters.
