Censor Board rejects Neeraj Pandey-Manoj Bajpayee’s Saat Uchakkey
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... The CBFC has objected to the film’s content, mostly language
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has given a thumbs down to Neeraj Pandey’s production, Saat Uchakkey. The board’s Examining Committee rejected the film saying it has objectionable content.
Ironically, the CBFC’s decision came on the same day Shyam Benegal submitted his report on revamping the board to the I & B Ministry.

The committee headed by the veteran filmmaker has recommended drastic measures like chopping off CBFC’s censoring powers and increasing the number of film certification categories. The government is going through the report and is yet to come out with a final decision.
Coming back to Saat Uchakkey, Pandey doesn’t have the luxury of time to wait for the I & B Ministry’s decision on Benegal’s recommendations.

Also, in the end, the ministry may or may not accept the revamp measures suggested by Benegal’s committee.
That being the situation, will Pandey approach the CBFC’s Revising Committee or Tribunal to get a verdict in favour of his film? Let’s wait and watch.
