Buzz: Sanjay Dutt To Star In Khalnayak Sequel
Circa February next year, when Sanjay Dutt will be released from jail in Pune, he is more than likely to become hot property in Bollywood once again.

In fact, word is out that several producers have initiated the idea of Khalnayak 2. Back in 1993, Khalnayak had proved to be one of Sanjay's biggest hits, following the actor's release from prison on bail.

Naturally, producer-director Subhash Ghai owns the rights of the first Khalnayak. If he is contemplating a sequel, he is being tight-lipped. Needless to add, a Khalnayak reloaded would spark tremendous buzz among corporates and assorted financiers.

Meanwhile, 56-year-old Sanjay's 'dost dost na raha' filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, has effected a patch-up of sorts. A special screening of Gupta's Jazbaa was held for Sanju baba recently. Things had soured between them during the making of the aborted project Alibag.

According to insiders, Alibag will not to be resumed but an entirely different film is being considered. For that, Manyata Dutt would have to give her seal of approval, of course, since she wants her husband to prioritise their own home banner.

Another Dutt buddy, Bunty Walia, hasn't produced a film in the last five years, ever since Lamhaa: The Untold Story Of Kashmir. Could he be waiting for Sanju baba to return to the studios?

Rajkumar Hirani is expected to kick off a biopic on his Munnabhai next year, but with Ranbir Kapoor enacting the part of the real-life star.

We also hear, Sanjay himself would like to make a film, which could help towards improving jail conditions.

Incidentally, it is believed that Sanjay had once suggested a story idea to Ram Gopal Varma. That germ of an idea went on to be developed into the cult gangster flick Satya. Sanju didn't like that, but has never gone on record to comment on the Satya story.
