Bunty Aur Babli 2 Title Song OUT: Rani Mukerji And Saif Ali Khan Stun As The OG Con-Couple; Bohemia’s Rap Fails To Impress-Watch
Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan have collaborated together for the upcoming film 'Bunty Aur Babli 2', which will show two sets of con-artists from different generations against each other, as they battle to prove who is better at conning. The Varun V Sharma directorial is a sequel of Rani Mukerji and Abhishek Bachchan’s 2005 release Bunty Aur Babli. While the first look posters and intriguing trailer of the forthcoming comedy have already left everyone excited, the makers have now dropped its title track.

The lyrics of the peppy title track have been penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. Popular duo Shankar Ehsaan and Loy have composed the song. Sung by Siddharth Mahadevan, Bohemia has written and sung the rap for the song. The makers have released the highly-awaited title track as a tribute to the spirit of the first film.

The 2:04 minute-long foot-tapping number opens with Bunty and Babli AKA Saif and Rani and shows them conning the people. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari as the new Bunty and Babli also look quite promising in the video. Although the song somewhat manages to create a magic of the original track, Bohemia’s rap fails to win the hearts of audience. A certain section of people feels that the rap was just not needed as it fails to charm them.

Check out the song here:

Talking about the title track, Rani Mukerji said in a statement, “I think right from the moment YRF decided to make Bunty Aur Babli 2, they were sure that they would incorporate the title track from the original film even though our movie is completely rebooting the franchise. The original tune was the soul of the first film and it is the soul of the second too. It’s supremely catchy and it’s stood the test of time because everyone who is a lover of Hindi cinema loves this tune.”

Saif added, “The track has been incorporated beautifully in this film. It represents both pairs of Bunty and Babli as really mischievous, cool, fun-loving con couples who love living on the edge because they are essentially thrill-seekers. The title track now represents the fun and the chaos that these two Jodis will bring on-screen. I had loved the track. It’s a fitting homage to the original film.”
