Looks like Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan have finally revealed the big announcement that they have been hinting at - and that is Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone are all set to star in the remake of Satte Pe Satta
In February, Rohit Shetty and Farah Khan made a big announcement of them collaborating together for an action-comedy film which was the remake Amitabh Bachchan’s 1982 superhit film Satte Pe Satta.
However, it is now confirmed that the film will star the Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan who. The Super 30 actor has signed the dotted line and will be seen in Big B's shoes.
Reports were rife that Shah Rukh Khan will be playing the role of Big B in the film. Apparently, that did not materialize into anything and that's how Hrithik happened. If this wasn't enough to pump up your excitement, the reports further stated that Deepika Padukone will be the female lead in the movie.
It is being reported that both Farah and Rohit wanted Deepika for the role, not just because she is a perfect fit for it but also for her resemblance with Hema Malini who was the heroine of the original film. The dimpled beauty gave her nod as soon as Farah narrated the story to her.
If that is so, Hrithik and Deepika will be sharing screen space for the first time and we certainly can't keep calm to see this good-looking pair sharing the same screen space.
Talking about Hrithik and Deepika's work lives, Hrithik is on a promotional spree with Super 30 along with Mrunal Thakur. The film will hit the theatres on July 12, 2019. Hrithik will be essaying the role of a talented teacher who teaches the underprivileged kids.
While Deepika has recently wrapped up Meghna Gulzar's Chhapaak with Vikrant Massey. The film will screen on January 10, 2020. The Padmaavat actress will also be seen playing the role of a wife, Romi Bhatia to her real-life husband Ranveer Singh in Kabir Singh's '83.
