Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer fantasy drama ‘Brahmastra’ has finally hit the theatres today ie 9th September and the film has opened to mixed reviews. Despite the huge buzz and being made on an expensive budget, Ayan Mukerji’s directorial has failed to strike the right chord with the audience and is being criticized on social media. A certain section of people trolled the film calling it a ‘disaster and torture.’ #Brahmastra is trending on Twitter with netizens sharing their negative reactions.

Slamming the film’s direction, one user tweeted, “This film is a personification of DISASTER.  Horrible VFX & direction, not even a single scene evokes goosebumps rather it is bound to give you headache throughout the run time. Ahead of its release ‘Brahmastra’ faced a boycott trend after Alia Bhatt shared her views on nepotism. She asserted that if people don’t like her they can stop watching her films and this statement of the actress did not go down well with netizens as they started a hate campaign against her film.

Reportedly, the film has collected Rs. 22 crores nett in advance for the opening weekend. The project marks Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s first onscreen collaboration and also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni.
