Boney Kapoor Gets Emotional As Sridevi’s Film MOM Releases In China
Film Producer Boney Kapoor got emotional as his late wife Sridevi’s last movie MOM released in China on Friday
It was on February 24, 2018 that the nation lost Sridevi. Her sudden demise in Dubai came as a huge shock to one and all. It’s been more than a year, but whenever we speak of the talented actress, we reminisce of her beautiful performances.
Now, husband Boney Kapoor grew emotional as today, her last movie MOM released in China. Penning his thoughts on social media, the film producer wrote, “Mom releases in China today. An emotional moment for me. Thank you @ZeeStudios_ for spreading Sri’s last film to such wider audiences. I hope people will connect with the film there too. @SrideviBKapoor @MomTheMovie”
Helmed by Ravi Udyawar, MOM depicted a mother’s journey to bring justice for her step-daughter who gets gang raped. Sridevi won the National Award posthumously for her fabulous performance in the movie.
Recently, when Boney made an appearance on a chat show, Komal Nahta Aur Ek Kahani?, the man was seen getting choked when asked about his late wife. When asked if there is a moment in which he doesn’t miss Sridevi, Boney controlling his tears said, “Namumkin hai (it’s impossible).”
This is not the first time when Kapoor got emotional. Earlier, during an event organised by the Films Division Delhi, the producer was asked if his responsibilities as a father have increased. Replying to which he had said, "No, Janhvi and Khushi are there with me. My elder son Arjun and Anshula too. They have been my strength. The way Arjun and Anshula accepted Janhvi and Khushi, it has lessened my burden. I believe blood is blood. My strength is my four kids."
Meanwhile, there were reports of Boney planning to make a biopic on Sridevi’s life, but he nipped them in the bud and told us that he has no such plans.
