Blackbuck Poaching Case: Rajasthan HC To Hear Plea Challenging Acquittal of Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Sonali Bendre
Last year Hum Saath Saath Hain actors Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Neelam Kothari were acquitted in the blackbuck poaching case. Now, after a year, the case is in the news again as the Rajasthan High Court has decided to accept the state government's plea challenging the acquittal of Saif, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali in the two-decade-old blackbuck poaching case.

Salman Khan was convicted in the same case and later granted bail. In 1998, the actor was accused of reportedly killing two blackbucks on October 2, in Kankani village in Jodhpur during the shooting of Sooraj Barjatya's Hum Saath Saath Hain. His co-actors, Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Neelam Kothari and Tabu, were also co-accused in the case but were acquitted due to reported lack of evidence.

Recently, the State Government objected to this decision and filed a plea challenging their acquittal. Rajasthan High Court today accepted the arguments of the Government and will now hear the plea that challenges the acquittal of Saif Ali Khan, Tabu and Neelam Kothari.
