BIRTHDAY SPECIAL: Here’s Why Virat Kohli-Anushka Sharma Are B-Town’s One Of The Strongest And Honest Couple

In India, Bollywood and Cricket are the two most talked about things. And when the two most talked about things come together- it results in non-stop entertainment. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma's relationship is one such example, and their romance is the most talked about in the gossip circuits currently.

While Virat is India's most prolific batsman of the current lot, and also the Test Cricket Captain, Anushka Sharma is currently one of the most bankable actresses in B-Town. Not just that, her stint as a producer is also one of the most successful so far. However, their romantic alliance isn't that lovey-dovey as it seems to from the forefront. They have had their share of ups and downs.

So on Virat's 28th birthday today, we decided to go down memory lane and chart their relationship from start till now.

SCENE 1: Jab They Met...

The two met for the first time during an advertisement shoot in 2013 for a hair care brand. Both weren't those kinds who would hit off instantly. However, during the shoot they definitely became good friends. Post the shoot day, the two kept on hanging out together, and pretty soon they had become inseparable. Rumours about them dating began floating in the media. People liked the two together as they definitely looked like a really hot couple. However, the two never opened up about their relationship that time, and maintained a complete silence whenever asked about it. However, their actions spoke louder than words.

Virat used to congratulate Anushka on Twitter after her movie releases like PK, NH 10, etc. Anushka did her bit by attending most of the crucial team India matches which Virat was playing. However, there was trouble lurking in the corners.

SCENE 2: Trouble In Paradise

After almost having completed two years of an open secret sort of a relationship, there began rumours of a break up between the two. It all started with the loss of Indian Cricket team at the World Cup 2015. As Virat couldn't perform well on that crucial semi-final match against Australia, which Anushka was attending, people started blaming her for the loss. There was mass outrage on social media asking girlfriends and wives of cricketers to stay away from the matches. However,. Soon after, there were rumours that Virat wanted to get married to Anushka and settle down, however, under the clause of 'Quit Bollywood'. Anushka at that time was beginning to see the heights of her success and it wasn't a time that she wanted to leave everything off just to get married.

It was also said that Virat was pissed at one of her hot photo shoot for a leading Men's Magazine, where there was a lot of skin show.

All these grew up to such dizzying heights that Virat went ahead and ‘unfollowed’ Anushka from his social media accounts. This definitely was the last nail in the coffin. The two weren't spotted together anywhere, and it was said that they managed to stay clear of the two.

Virat even posted a picture on his social media account with a fan wearing a T-Shirt which read 'We Were On A Break'. This image went viral, and people figured out that the two lovey-dovey couple had finally called it quits.

SCENE 3: Couldn’t Stay Away For Long...

The ‘We’re On A Break’ picture was just an indication of what was to follow. The two met again for a quite dinner at a suburban Mumbai restaurant, and sorted out the misunderstandings. And Hola! They Were Back!

Not just in person, Virat was back on Anushka’s twitter handle as well. Whether it was dropping off Anushka at the airport late in the night (Virat sees off Anushka, gets lovey-dovey at airport, June 3 2016) or watching the blockbuster Sultan with her, Virat was everywhere. He also accompanied Anushka to Punjab for her film Philauri’s shoot.

Post that the two have sort of opened up and never denied talking about the other. However, they never openly acknowledge their romance but they don't even shy away from the media like before. This gave their fans a lot of more respect for their relationship.

Soon after this, the two forgot all the former bitterness and started drawing positive energy from this alliance. While Anushka delivered back to back blockbuster hits with Sultan and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Virat went on to score centuries after centuries helping team India become the topmost rated Test Cricket team in the world.

SCENE 4: Future Ahead

While many instances are there where the relationship didn't work out quite successfully between Bollywood and Cricket - Anju Mahendru, Zeenat Aman, Amrita Singh, Neena Gupta, Reena Roy - there are a few which did work really well - Sharmila Tagore, Geeta Basra, Hazel Keech.

We really hope Virat and Anushka's romantic alliance soon enough joins the list as the most successful one. They might not be the PDA sorts but Virat and Anushka’s love story definitely proves them to be a strong and honest couple!
