Bhumi Pednekar started her career in the film industry as an assistant director with Yash Raj films, which gave her an entry into the film industry. Shortly after which she got an offer for the movie, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, but she was told to put on more weight as she had to portray the role of Ayushmann Khurrana's fat wife.
Interestingly, Bhumi gained around 70 kg back then, had to put on an extra 15 kg of weight to prepare herself for the role. While she was excited about her first movie at the same time, she got the best opportunity to eat her favourite foods in a time period of six months to gain weight. She used to consume 800 calories per day, and as a result, she became 85 kg in weight.

The actress has a sweet tooth, but she still managed to reduce the intake of refined sugar in her diet. So, instead of craving and depriving herself of sweetness, Bhumi looked for some healthier options. Calling natural sweeteners a boon and an affordable option.
Bhumi ensured to drink at least 7 litres of water per day. However, she also experimented a bit and came up with an interesting detox water recipe.
