Alankrita Shrivastava, who took the Indian film industry by storm after directing a bold and hard-hitting women-centric film like Lipstick Under My Burkha, is all set for her upcoming venture titled Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitara. The film stars Bhumi Pednekar and Konkona Sensharma in the lead roles and was wrapped up by the beginning of 2019. However, before even the film’s release, Alankrita has added a feather in her cap. Well, Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamatke Sitare is all set to be premiered at the 24th edition of the Busan International Film Festival, which is considered as Asia’s one of the most reputed film fests.
Taking to her social media account, Bhumi Pednekar broke this good news with fans. She also unveiled hers and Konkona Sensharma’s first look from the film. In the poster, both Bhumi and Konkona could be seen posing with their faces trapped in cages, doors of which were open. While Konkona was sporting a pink saree, Bhumi looked badass in a top and jeans, as she held a lit cigarette in her mouth and glass of alcohol in her hand. Well, it looks like another savage women-centric film is on its way! Check out the poster below.
The plot of Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare is a satirical take and revolves around the lives of two women named Dolly and Kitty, played by Konkona and Bhumi respectively. The film also stars Vikrant Massey, Kubbra Sait, Karan Kundra, Amol Parashar and Mushtaq Khan in pivotal roles.
