Beware, Team Bajirao Mastani! Shah Rukh Wins Every Box-Office Clash
The stage is being set for the clash of titans on December 18 - Dilwale versus Bajirao Mastani. While the Red Chillies Entertainment production boasts of Shah Rukh Khan pairing up with Kajol after 5 years, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali period drama that is produced by Eros International, has Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.

But this isn't the first time that SRK will have to battle it out with another release and seems, it won't be the last either. Take a look.

If it's Diwali, it has to be a Shah Rukh release. The actor's Don released on Diwali 2006 alongside Salman Khan-Akshay Kumar-Preity Zinta starrer Jaan-E-Mann. However, the combined forces of Salman and Akshay couldn't stop SRK from emerging victorious.

Om Shanti Om vs Saawariya (2007)
It was war again the following year - this time, with Bhansali. While SRK and Farah Khan took it upon themselves to launch Deepika Padukone in Om Shanti Om, Bhansali was launching 2 star kids - Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor in Saawariya. What happened once the 2 movies hit the screens? Om Shanti Om was a runaway success while Saawariya was a complete washout. And it also led to the cold war between SRK and his Devdas director.

Jab Tak Hai Jaan vs Son Of Sardaar (2012)
2012 saw two biggies clash at the box-office over the Diwali weekend - SRK's Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Ajay Devgn's Son Of Sardaar. What made Jab Tak... all the more special was that it was Yash Chopra's swan song. So what did Yash Raj Films do? Well, according to Ajay, they "arm-twisted" distributors to keep Son Of Sardaar out of single screens. Things turned ugly with Yash Raj even receiving a legal notice from Ajay's production house. Fortunately, both films crossed the 100-crore mark at the domestic box-office, although the SRK-starrer boasted of better figures.

Chennai Express vs Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara (2013)
Until the first week of August, both films were geared up to fight it out over the Eid weekend. However, at the last moment, producer Ekta Kapoor pushed her Akshay Kumar-Imran Khan starrer ahead by a week and released it over the Independence Day weekend instead. Wise move, you'd think - after all, who'd want to clash with the SRK-Deepika Padukone starrer? Chennai Express ran strong at the box-office for many weeks, thus eating into the business of Once Upon Ay Time...
