Azhar To Bat From July 21
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... We meant Emraan Hashmi, not Mohammed Azharuddin
After innumerable controversies surrounding its cast, Ekta Kapoor's biopic on former cricketer Mohammed Azharuddin is finally going on floors. While Emraan Hashmi essays the role of Azhar, Nargis Fakhri plays Sangeeta Bijlani and Lara Dutta will essay the role of a lawyer.
The film will be first shot in London before the crew eventually moves to Mumbai. "Tony D'Souza (director) is flying there next week and the rest of the cast will join him on July 21 which will be the first day of shoot. It's going to be a 40-day schedule. The film releases on May 13, 2016," says a source close to the film.
The biopic will be co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and MSM Motion Pictures.
Tony will also shoot in the locales where the former cricketer lived during his days of exile.
