Ever since Ayushamnn Khurrana has made his Bollywood debut with Vicky Donor opposite Yami Gautam, he is on roll. It’s been more than 10 days since his last release Dream Girl hit the screens and the film is still managing to attract the audience to the theaters. Talking about the collections, the film has already crossed 100 crore mark. But before we talk Ayushmann’s hit films and successful career, let us take you to the time when Vicky won’s every heart with his Vicky Arora portrayal.   

During his latest chat with Mumbai Mirror, Ayushmann Khurrana revealed how was his first day on the sets of Vicky Donor. The Badhaai Ho actor went on to reveal that he never auditioned for his character, Soojit Sircar, in fact, knew he is Ayushmann is his Vicky Arora as soon as stepped inside the room.

Talking about his first shot, Ayushmann told Mirror, “I clearly remember my first shot, which was in a bank where Yami’s character Ashima Roy worked. We were staying at a guest house in Delhi and we had converted its large garage into the bank. Vicky goes there to open an account and meets her for the first time. I was a bundle of nerves. Shoojit da is a director known for his subtlety and wanted me to tone down my voice but having been an anchor earlier, it was difficult for me to do so. He was patient with me and explained things but it still took me five to seven takes to internalise the subtlety he wanted from my performance."

On the work front, basking in the success of his back-to-back hit films, Ayushmann is set to entertain his fans and moviegoers with yet another quirky project. The actor will next be seen in Aanand L Rai’s Shubh Mangal Zayda Saavdhan, which will hit the theaters in 2020.
