Aye Zindagi Gale Laga Le Is Dear Zindagi’s Nostalgic Moment
The original was a heartwarming number and this latest song from the Alia Bhatt-Shah Rukh Khan starrer Dear Zindagi, is a rock ballad inspired by the hit 1983 number
Celebrate the
little joys of life and keep that inner child in you alive. That seems to be
the message of the latest song from Alia Bhatt and Shah Rukh Khan’s next Dear
Zindagi.
The tune will be
familiar to all lovers of Bollywood music, as it is a re-recorded version of
the evergreen Illayaraja melody Ae Zindagi Gale Laga Le from the Sridevi-Kamal
Haasan starrer Sadma.
Dear Zindagi's
music director Amit Trivedi has included two adaptations of the 1983 classic in
the film's soundtrack. This rendition, ‘Take 1’, is a rock-flavoured version of
the song, sung by Arijit Singh.
The second will
be an EDM-heavy take, sung by Alia Bhatt herself.
We wonder what
Suresh Wadkar and Ilaiyaraaja think of Arijit’s version of Ae Zindagi Gale
Lagale. The original is soulful and heartwarming while this has a more angsty
vibe to it.
We are now
looking forward to Alia's Take 2 of the popular classic.
"It is a
beautiful song which matched the ethos of our film and we are extremely proud
to have it as a part of our album. Amit Trivedi and I have attempted to
live up to the song and tried to set the mood for the film as the song
perfectly resonates with my character in the film," the actress had said.
