Avinash Tiwary Reveals He Hit Amitabh Bachchan On The Head During An Action Sequence In Yudh; Actor Recalls, ‘Felt Like My Career Was Over’
Bollywood’s Shahenshah Amitabh Bachchan often leaves his co-stars and the audiences spell-bound with his acting prowess. Avinash Tiwary, who is currently cementing himself as a credible actor in the Hindi film industry, recently recalled an incident which left him worried for the future of his career. During a recent interview he revealed how he accidentally hit the veteran on the head with his elbow during the shoot of an action sequence for the movie Yudh.

Revisiting the incident that happened in 2013, the Laila Majnu actor told ETimes that it was his first ever action sequence. He practised a lot with the stunt guys, however the veteran actor didn’t even have to rehearse as he has done it all his life. He went on to reveal how Bachchan would join the shoot when the shot was ready. Recalling that day, he added, “He was 72 when he did this. His legs went over my head. I am 6 foot tall. Quoted by Hindustan Times, he further added, “In that action sequence, I hit him on his head with my elbow by mistake. I have a video of it. Everyone on the set was teasing me that I won’t get any films anymore. When I hit him by mistake I felt like my career was over. There was a pin-drop silence on set. But the director didn't say cut so I swung another blow but it did not hit him... After the shot, I went to him to say sorry. He said, ‘Yes, you hit me on my head.’ And in that fear, I asked him, ‘Sir, ek aur rehearsal kar le?’ He looked at everyone and said, ‘Kahan se laaye ho inhe?’ And then said to me, ‘Let’s do one more rehearsal’.” ALSO READ: Amitabh Bachchan In Legal TROUBLE As CAIT Imposes A Fine Of Rs 10 Lakhs For Engaging In ‘Misleading Advertisement’- Reports

For those who don’t know, Yudh is a psychological thriller television mini series created by Anurag Kashyap. Directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and Deepti Kalwani, the show also stars Pavail Gulati, Sarika Gauri and Ayesha Raza Mishra. 

On the work front, Avinash was seen in Bambai Meri Jaan and Kaala, this year. On the other hand, Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Uunchai alongside Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. Currently hosting the 15th season of Kaun Banega Crorepati, he has a list of exciting projects ahead of him. He will be seen in movies like Section 84, Ganapath - Part 1 and Kalki 2898 AD.
