Arjun turned down Parineeti’s Meri Pyaari Bindu
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... The actor’s loss became Ayushmann’s gain
Arjun Kapoor was the first choice for the lead role in Yash Raj Films and Maneesh Sharma’s joint production Meri Pyaari Bindu – yep, the same film that is Parineeti Chopra’s comeback vehicle. But the actor turned it down. Why?
Turns out, the Ki & Ka actor wanted to do something “more exciting” with his first ever co-star from Ishaqzaade – not just a film set against the backdrop of old Hindi songs and cassettes.
“He heard the narration but wasn’t too excited to play Tamilian Parineeti’s Bengali boyfriend,” says a source.
At this point, Yash Raj Films wasn’t even on board.
Post that, the film then went around within showbiz circles before being picked up by YRF with Pari still on board. Finally, Ayushmann Khurrana was zeroed down as the hero.
