Arjun Kapoor’s India’s Most Wanted Will Not Release In Dubai, Courtesy A Dialogue On Terrorists
While two days later, you will see Arjun Kapoor starrer India’s Most Wanted hitting the big screens, the Dubai audience won’t see it happening. As per reports in Bollywood Hungama, the UAE Censor Board has decided to not release the film in the country and the reason is a dialogue in the film that refers to Dubai as the “hub of terrorists”. The Censor Board felt that the particular dialogue was “derogatory” and “objectionable”, hence they decided to take the call and stall its release.

A source told the website, “In India’s Most Wanted, there is a dialogue that says most terrorists are based either in Pakistan or Dubai, and it was this reference that didn’t go down too well with the censors there. Had this dialogue been deleted, the film would have been permitted to release, but the makers of the film did not budge and hence it will not release.”

Filmmaker Raj Kumar Gupta has also confirmed this news as he told the portal, “Yes, the film will not release in Dubai. There were some issues which could not be sorted and hence this decision. Yes, the said dialogue is there in the film and it is a factual one based on the research that has been conducted. So we did not want to do away with the dialogue and decided on retaining it in the film even if it entailed a non-release in Dubai.”

While, the filmmaker has chosen to retain the particular dialogue, he has deleted dialogues that had references to Gita and Quran. Buzz is, the Prasoon Joshi led Censor Board demanded a cut on the reference of Lord Krishna and Quran, fearing it might hurt religious sentiments. You won’t see the scene even in the teaser or trailer.
