Arjun Kapoor Recollects School Friends Asking About His 'New Mom' Sridevi; Talks About Accepting Sisters Janhvi And Khushi Kapoor
Just like his professional life, actor Arjun Kapoor’s personal life always grabs headlines. Apart from his hot relationship with his girlfriend, Malaika Arora, his relationship with Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor also calls for attention from people. Arjun and his sister Anshula Kapoor are children of Boney Kapoor and Mona Shourie Kapoor while Boney then married late superstar Sridevi and had two children, Janhvi and Khushi. However, in a recent interview, the actor was talking about his ‘personal anguish’ that includes his late mother Sridevi and sisters Janhvi and Khushi.

Recalling the days when his school friends used to ask about ‘new mom’, he said ‘it was very hard.’ Speaking to Bollywood Bubble, Arjun said, “I have gone through personal anguish. I have gone through personal trauma. I have gone through personal upheavals...Growing up as a kid I had to go through the separation of parents...At that point, it was very hard because my father was a high profile man...and the woman he chose to be with was the biggest superstar India has seen if you combine perhaps all the stardom of all the young actors today you would have her star status. So it was very very high profile.”

He continued, "To be asked by kids, your best friends in school 'how does it feel having a new mom?' it's not easy. It makes you go into a shell. You become more vulnerable about things. Again this is not to create sympathy or a sad story. This is the reality...I fought through it.”

“We have accepted and adapted Janhvi, Khushi, Anshula and I exist together, and that is a life journey, that is the up and down that one talk about,” the actor added.

Earlier, on Koffee With Karan in 2018, Arjun, who appeared with Janhvi for the talk show, spoke about how Sridevi’s death changed his equation with the Kapoor sisters. “I and Anshula did everything out of pure honesty because we knew that we would have needed somebody at that time. We couldn’t have that but that doesn’t mean Janhvi and Khushi shouldn’t. My mother would have wanted that. If she was alive, the first thing she should’ve said is, ‘Go be there. Don’t hold any grudges; life is too short’” he had said.
