Arjun Kapoor In Trouble, BMC Serves Final Notice Over Illegal Construction
Arjun Kapoor may have just returned from celebrating uncle Anil Kapoor’s birthday in London, but he has a legal matter to resolve. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has served him with a notice for alleged illegal construction at his Juhu home.

According to BMC, Arjun, who lives on the 7th floor of Raheja Orchid in Juhu, has encroached on the terrace by constructing a 30-by-16 sq ft brick room without permission.

According to a leading daily, it was an activist who does not live in the building who approached the BMC to complain about the room, after which the civic body started an investigation to ascertain the allegation of irregularities.

The BMC had issued the first notice to the actor in March, and last week it issued another notice to Arjun that asked him to allow municipal staff on his premises to demolish the unauthorized structure.

While talking to a leading daily, assistant municipal commissioner Parag Masurkar said, "We have given them enough time to produce supporting documents to prove that the structure is legal but they failed.”

He added, "Now we have issued the final order asking Arjun Kapoor to allow us to enter his premises to demolish the unauthorized structure on the terrace."

Civic officials said that after following all the legal processes, they had concluded the inquiry over the irregularities and issued the final demolition order last week.

On the professional front, Arjun is currently shooting for Mubarakan which also features Anil Kapoor, Ileana D’Cruz and Athiya Shetty.
