Are Sushant-alia Commitment Phobic?

Producer Dinesh Vijan, fresh from the success of Badlapur, has taken off on a month-long break before starting pre-production for Raabta, his take on love and commitment phobia. He wanted to give it all his energy and why not? It’s his first film as a director with Homi Adajania as his partner. The film goes on floors in August with the flavour of the season, Alia Bhatt and Sushant Singh Rajput. It took the filmmaker 13 months to develop it in New York.

Raabta means rab ka banaya rishta. Some relationships are not man-made. The film will make you question your behaviour. Kalyug mein we doubt everything. How do we know this is it? Commitment phobia is so rampant. Adam and Eve, we think, f@#$%d it up for an apple. My motto with this film is to tell people to simply believe in love. Its a new take on reincarnation,” says Dinesh, adding that though the audience may not notice it outright, the film does have a huge time leap.

You wont even realise it happened. The story starts from way before the 1900s. So, theres time travel in that sense. Its a palatable young, cool film about reincarnation. I believe in love and reincarnation and this film has both, says Dinesh. He adds, I believe energy cannot be destroyed. It just changes forms. Quantum physics! The destroyed comes back. Logically and scientifically, its a better thing to believe in than to think that there is a void.

The film will be shot at a few foreign locales and many places within the country.
