Anushka To Romance Arjun?

It’s no secret that R Balki has signed Arjun Kapoor for his next. And now, SpotboyE.com brings you the news that Anushka Sharma has been approached to play his love interest in the light-hearted romance.

Surely, the two will make for a fresh and interesting jodi. Especially so, given their history.

For those whove come in late, when things were souring between Anushka and her then-boyfriend Ranveer Singh in 2012, the actress had inadvertently grown close to Arjun. In fact, the two were even reported to be romantically involved. The truth, however, was that Arjun and Anushka were just friends.

But this did not go down too well with Ranveer. Even after he and Anushka parted ways, she remained the bone of contention between him and Arjun. Sources say that the two actors were far from friendly with each other during the shooting of Gunday and their so-called bromance was restricted to the cameras only.

Of course, all this is water under the bridge now. Ranveer is now in a secure place with rumoured girlfriend Deepika Padukone and holds no grudges against Arjun. The two were seen bonding at AIB Roast earlier this year and will even be hosting the IIFA Awards together this month.

Ranveer and Anushka too have warmed up to each other and come June, they will be seen sharing screen space in Dil Dhadakne Do.

So, one can say that the R Balki film has come their way at an opportune time. And, Arjun is also looking forward to the film; his last film Tevar earlier this year having tanked at the box-office.

As for Anushka, well, this adds yet another feather to her cap. The girl received rave reviews for her debut production NH10 and has promising films like Bombay Velvet, Dil Dhadakne Do and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil lined up. She will also be producing Delhi Belly writer Akshat Varma's directorial venture.
