Bollywood actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have been living their best life, ever since they tied the knot in 2022. Having kept the entire affair hush-hush, their wedding was one of the most celebrated unions of the year. Recently well known wedding videographer Vishal Punjabi, also known as The Wedding Filmer, opened up about why he had to reject filming the couple’s wedding. For the unversed, he has created stunning videos for many B-town couples like Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli, Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani, and Rajkummar Rao-Patralekhaa.

During an appearance on Shivani Pau’s podcast, when asked about the same Punjabi revealed that many celebrities approach only weeks prior to their wedding as they want to keep everything hush-hush. Quoted by News18, he said in Punjabi, “I wasn’t available when Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt called me for their wedding. A lot of these celebrities call me two weeks before their wedding because its hush hush and nobody can know.”
Talking about the downside of celebrities reaching out to him only weeks prior to their wedding date, he revealed that he isn’t available for most of them. He added how he would never cancel a prior commitment, just to cover a celebrities wedding. He said, “I didn’t do Alia and Ranbir’s wedding because I was booked to do a wedding in London for a very beautiful, lovely bride. I wouldn’t change that for the world even now. She was gorgeous and it was a beautiful experience. Ranbir and Alia would have gotten a nice wedding video.”
Alia and Ranbir hosted an intimate wedding ceremony in the presence of their close friends and family. They got married in April 2022. Currently enjoying their successful careers and raising their daughter Raha Kapoor, they announced their pregnancy in June 2022. Raha was born in November 2022. After maintaining that they wanted to keep their daughter awy from the glaring eyes of the media, they revealed her face to the world in December 2023, during the Christmas party hosted by the Kapoor family.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani alongside Ranveer Singh. She has YRF’s spy-thriller Alpha, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, Jigra, Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra franchise, and Farhan Akhtar’s directorial Jee Le Zara alongside Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra Jonas in her pipeline. On the other hand, Ranbir is currently busy shooting for Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayan. He also has Animal Park in his pipeline.
