Anurag Kashyap Goes On Twitter Rampage Again, Says He Has Every Right To Question The Prime Minister
Just when we thought that the filmmaker is done with expressing his angst on social media, comes a fresh set of tweets where he continues to target Narendra Modi
There is no stopping Anurag Kashyap. This morning the filmmaker unleashed a volley of tweets questioning the Indian Prime Minister in the aftermath of the Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India’s (COEAI) decision to ban Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in 4 states – Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Goa (You Haven’t Said Sorry For Your Trip To Meet Pakistani PM: Anurag Kashyap Lashes Out At PM Narendra Modi, Oct 16). And just when we thought the matter will die down, Anurag has resumed his Twitter rampage. A while ago, he began tweeting relentlessly about his right to question the Prime Minister, how India has been vulnerable for so long and that it’s high time that we are protected.
For the uninitiated, on Friday, COEAI declared that no films starring Pakistani actors will release in theatres. Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil will directly be affected by it since it stars Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. In fact, Nitin Datar, President of the COEAI, has also said that they have requested other states to follow the decision (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil Banned In 4 States, Oct 14).
