Anurag Kashyap Called 'Starstruck' After Making Good Films Like Black Friday, Gangs Of Wasseypur; Filmmaker Has A SAVAGE Response
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap is quite active on social media these days. And while the filmmaker makes it a point to share his brutally honest opinions on all the ongoing issues, he also has a befitting reply for everyone trying to bring him down, every time. Talking about the Bombay Velvet director's most recent activity, he was called 'starstruck' by a social media user. Why you may ask? Well, as per that fan, Kashyap made a couple of good films but soon after, he got smitten by showsha and stars and his filmography got affected. Well, Anurag was, undoubtedly, at his savage best in response to the same.

The tweet read, "@anuragkashyap72 Anurag Kashyap is legend , the one with Masterpiece of Black Friday and Gangs of Wasseypur..Such classics to be taught in film school..BUT then he got star struck." To which, Anurag replied how had he seen these pictures in the theatres, the filmmaker wouldn't have become starstruck. He wrote, "सिनेमाहाल में जा के देख ली होती वो पिक्चर तो ना तो हमें starstruck होना पड़ता ना तुम लोग आज nepotism nepotism चिल्ला रहे होते । (If you would have seen these pictures in the cinema hall, neither would we have to be starstruck nor would you be shouting nepotism nepotism today."

Check out his tweet:

"She is right. Most actors and crew got paid similar amounts or less and I had to forfeit my entire fees to make GOW. Funny thing is we still own 50%IPR on GOW and we have never seen a penny on it or know about it’s income. For the studio it’s still a flop. Despite the film being seen the world over and playing on various OTT platform, according to them they haven’t made any money on a film that was made under 18 Cr. And then they actually Once few years back asked me to make a part 3. Anyways that’s how most studios work here. Only studio that has consistently send us reports on the business of the films is/was UTV," revealed the filmmaker.
