Bollywood actor Anupam Kher is known for his contributions to Indian cinema. Kher, who marked his Hindi film debut with the film ‘Saaransh’ completed 40 years of living in Mumbai. The actor took to his Instagram to share a video of him as he visited his first Mumbai home. The veteran actor made a heartfelt post and made a tribute to the city of dreams. Kher remembered how he arrived to the city to try his ‘luck’ in the industry.

Anupam Kher shared the video of him visiting his first address in the city and revisited fond memories of the humble abode. The actor mentioned about living in a small room with his four roommates. Sharing his experience with his massive Instagram following, Anupam Kher wrote, “My 40 years in Mumbai I landed in the ‘city of dreams’, Mumbai on the 3rd June 1981 to try my luck in Indian Cinema. This city has been extremely kind to me. From a nobody it allowed me to become somebody.” The actor said, “Last week I went to the place I first lived in. I go their often.” He continued, “I shared my small room with four other people! But my address was literally an eye opener and an indicator of what was going to follow. The only thing required out of me was hard work. Thank you 2/15, Kherwadi for giving me a roof!  Meanwhile, Anupam Kher marked 37 years in the film industry on May 25. The actor had shared a video talking about his film completing 37 years since its release. He opened up about playing a 65 year old teacher named B V Pradhan at the age of 28. The actor said he had no idea what his fate would be after the film and just wanted to give his everything to the role.
