Anu Malik Me Too Row: Sona Mohapatra And Neha Bhasin Slam Hemaa Sardesai Who Supported Malik; Say, She Is 'Victim Shaming'
Looks like, #MeToo storm is not going to die down any time soon. In the recent past, Anu Malik has been called out by Bollywood singer Sona Mohapatra and Neha Bhasin. In her open letter, Sona had called Anu Malik a sexual predator and had slammed the channel for bringing the singer back to the judging panel. When Neha and Sona came out in the open to talk openly about #MeToo, another singer from the industry Hemaa Sardesai, who also worked with Anu Malik, was seen coming out in support of Anu Malik.

Soon after knowing Hemaa’s side for Malik, Neha and Sona took to social media and slammed the singer for taking the music composer’s side. Reacting on Twitter, Neha Bhasin shared the link of a news portal and wrote in her Tweet, “Takes two hands to clap? Seriously? Slow clap for you mam with both my hands Who wants publicity to come out in thr open about Anu Malik.  Let’s not patronize others just coz you got lucky to be treated well..” “And lastly if this was 2004 n i was a not a dumb 21 year old id not run away but slap him hard. Make a video of him and tell him to his face what every1 knows already he is. Jhooth bolna hai sabko bolo for me this topic is now over,” read her another Tweet.  (ALSO READ: Indian Idol 11: Sona Mohapatra Questions Sachin Tendulkar If He’s Aware Of #MeToo Allegations Against Anu Malik)

While reacting to the same news, singer Sona Mohapatra tweeted, “Somebody tell Ms Sardesai that yes, it takes two bodies to even get raped but that does not mean the person getting raped is to be blamed? Also, this is called victim shaming & it is the reason why minors, survivors & their families haven’t formally complained? Sick, Silly woman.”

Further replying to Neha Bhasin, Sona told her, “Neha, the minions of the patriarchy & perverts, people like Hema Sardesai don’t deserve even a mention here or anywhere in this discourse but it is obvious that they have popped up to serve the masters, shame the victims, survivors & bid to try weaken the Warriors! Won’t happen”

Lastly, Sona requested the media to not get distracted from the main issue. And channel’s decision of reinstating a multiple accused sexual predator on National TV & setting a dangerous example is giving a free pass for other such perverts.
